How do I create links to library resources that are accessible to off-campus users?

Answer

CSUMB uses a prefix in our databases and the content in them so that remote users can authenticate and gain access to content.

If you have existing links that have been in place for some time, you may need to update them.

Please note that some permalinks, stable links or durable links offered for content via CSUMB databases already contain the correct prefix information.

This is the prefix,  https://csumb.idm.oclc.org/login?url=

Example: A link to an article in the JSTOR database,  https://csumb.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://www.jstor.org/stable/24709841

Copy the link and Paste the example link into your browser to try it out.
